Hours: 4-8 hours on weekdays, approximately 5 hours on Saturdays, and 4-8 hours on Sundays
Compensation: $15 per hour
Overview
Join VTeach Learning Centre as a CELPIP Invigilator, where you will play a critical role in overseeing and administering the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) online English Language testing. CELPIP is a renowned assessment tool measuring listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills, administered by Paragon Testing Enterprises and designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Key Responsibilities
Ensure a fair, proper, and consistent test environment.
Facilitate smooth and efficient test administration, from test area setup to the conclusion of testing and wrap-up duties.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the computer lab (testing area).
Oversee test taker check-in and ensure the safe storage of personal belongings.
Verify and review test taker identification documents.
Escort test takers to their work stations and manage any necessary breaks.
Guide test takers through technology equipment checks.
Identify and assist with basic hardware- or software-related issues.
Enforce test day rules and maintain the integrity of the testing process.
Required Qualifications
Commitment to confidentiality and security standards of Paragon Testing.
Minimum two years of post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
Experience in an educational or formal testing environment is beneficial.
Fluent in English with strong communication skills; French proficiency is an asset.
Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and educational technologies.
Flexibility for a part-time schedule, including weekends.
